Field notes · how it started

A higher level of service than the big box.

After seeing homeowners struggle with recurring infestations and impersonal service, Brian started a company of his own.

My Favorite Pest Control LLC was born from a desire to provide a more personalized service than the national “big box” exterminators could offer. The idea was simple. Take a more scientific, hands-on approach, look at the actual property, and treat what is actually there instead of running a script.

The growth since 2017 has been fuelled entirely by word of mouth. If you want to see how a visit runs from the first walk-around to the last follow-up, the four-step process is written out in full.

We don't just spray. We investigate the root cause.

Science-Based Methods

The point of an inspection is to find out why the pests are there. Ants following a moisture line, mice using a gap around a pipe, termites working up from the soil: each has a cause, and a treatment that ignores the cause only buys a few quiet weeks.

So the work starts with identifying the exact species, then choosing a targeted treatment for it, then scheduling follow-ups to confirm it worked. That is the whole method, and it is why the company talks about investigating instead of spraying.

Licensed & Insured

NJ Bus. Lic. #92139B and NJ App. Lic. #54530B, the same numbers printed on the company's own site.

Locally Owned

Founded in 2017 and operated from Brick, so the person on the phone knows the streets, the soil and the seasons you are describing.

Personalized Service

The company exists because homeowners were getting impersonal service. Every job begins with your property, not a template.

Three more phrases show up in how the company describes itself: Shoreline Specialists, Rapid Response and Licensed Integrity. They are the same four pillars seen from the customer's side: someone who knows the coast, someone who answers, someone you can look up.

We live where we work.

That means understanding the specific moisture levels, soil types and seasonal shifts that cause pest surges in Brick and the surrounding shore towns. Sandy soil, a high water table and salt air all change what shows up and when.

What the shore is known for, the company treats for: insect control, rodent and small animal control, termites and wood destroying insects, mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas, mold cleanup and treatment, and bed bug services.

If the pests return, so do we.

Call or text Brian, or send a short note about what you're seeing and where. The first step is always an inspection of the whole property.
