Mice, rats, attics, crawl spaces
Rodent and Small Animal Control
Keep mice, rats and small animals outside. Entry points found, professional exclusion, safe trapping and sealing so they can't come back through the attic or crawl space.
Chapter 01
How they get in
Mice fit through gaps far smaller than most people expect, and rats need little more. On raised shore houses the usual doors are utility penetrations, vent screens, torn lattice skirting, crawl space access panels, garage door corners and soffit gaps up at the attic. Once one gap turns up, there are almost always others nearby.
Fall is when mice start moving indoors, and beach homes with crawl spaces give them a sheltered way in. Noise in the attic at night, droppings along a wall, or gnawed insulation all point to an entry nobody has found yet. Our job is to find it, from the foundation up to the roofline.

Exclusion, trapping and sealing
Bait alone does not close a house. Our work is built on professional exclusion: we locate every entry point, trap safely, and seal what we find so the animals can't come back. Our truck carries a live-animal trap for the times when something small has already settled into the attic or crawl space.
Every job starts with a full inspection and identification, so we know whether we're dealing with mice, rats or another small animal before choosing a method. Then the sealing goes in exactly where the animals came in. The goal is a house that is closed, not just baited, using family and pet-friendly options wherever the situation allows.
Chapter 03
Attic and crawl space re-entry
After the first visit, the monitoring step takes over. We come back to check traps and confirm the seals are holding, and we watch the attic and crawl space for new droppings, gnawing or fresh disturbance. A detailed digital report follows every visit, so you can see which entry points were closed and where.
Owners of seasonal shore homes can ask for a check before the season opens and again when it closes, since an empty house is an inviting one. If the pests return, so do we. Call or text (732) 829-3881 from anywhere between Brick and Long Branch, and we'll book the inspection.
